Sophia Stoyanova

Sophia Stoyanova is a young Bulgarian 2D animator born in December 1998 from the southeastern part of Bulgaria, a small town called Elhovo. She currently resides in Sofia. Initially she enrolled in Graphic Design at New Bulgarian University, but after a year, she transferred to the Animation Cinema Bachelor program in 2018 as a better fit for her professional path. She has worked for famous Bulgarian studios like Studio Zmei and Compote Collective. She has experience with both cut-out and frame-to-frame 2D animation. Examples of her work include the music video for Electric Dragon's (an alternative rock band) song "FOMO" and the children's series about nursery rhymes "Jangles". Both projects are accessible on YouTube.
Her graduation project, "The Lifeless: Evicted!" is a short animated film on how delusions trap us in our minds. She is currently working as a freelance artist.
