An egocentric dancer fights for control of a stage performance after clashing with her trainer, who steps aside. The pressure of the big show overwhelms her, turning the moment tense as she hallucinates a masked version of her trainer as her ego. Death then emerges with the dancer’s own face, kills her, and hugs her. She awakens on stage, applauded, with self-acceptance.
