Inside the icy embrace of the Alaskan wilderness, mother and son embark on a journey in search of a mysterious monster. The mother, main tribal hunter, won't stop until the monster's gone and her child safe. Her son, a timid soul, isn't so eager to harm another being, much less reveal that the monstrous being in question is secretly himself. The boy is suddenly transformed into an owl-like monster, his second form, before the eyes of his terrified mother, forced to make a final decision.
