After discovering a set of footprints, a young Broomistega sets off on a journey to find a mate. The era of the Early Triassic is perilous and unstable, thus, by the end of its journey, the little amphibian is still alone, and injured. It finds itself inside a den, where it encounters a Thrinaxodon it met in the past. The tiny animal finds comfort in the warm fur of an old enemy, however, they are both killed by a flash flood, forever immortalized in a fossil.
