I’ve always guided myself by the thought of working in a field that actually brings you happiness so I based all of my professional decisions on this principle. As drawing was always present in my life one way or another – that’s what I knew and loved to do – I tried to keep this passion alive no matter what path I would choose. Later, however, I discovered my interest in other fields. Psychology was one of them because I was curious and found it fascinating to learn about how we think and function as human beings. After that I became interested in film directing, which made me want to attend a film camp and enter competitions; to create stories.
I believe that somehow everything fell into place the way I needed them to because I discovered animation as a viable option. I could direct my own animated film, where my drawings come to life, even more, I could use this power to approach subjects that would convey something truly meaningful to the viewers. And that’s how I ended up studying animation within ‘Nicolae Tonitza’ High School of Fine Arts and a few years later, the same major at UNATC.
Right now I’m still finding my own path, with the same desire to succeed in sharing my animated stories, addressing different topics that could raise strong emotions in the viewer’s hearts, helping them both to find themselves and also to look at the world with empathy.
