Martina Malovaníková is a Slovak visual artist and animator whose work explores women’s themes such as motherhood, generational trauma, and the unconscious mind. She works at the intersection of painting and animation and leads children’s animation workshops ANIMAČKY. Her MA film Chilli (2016) was presented at VAF New Talents, received the IGRIC Creative Award. She is currently developing her debut animated film BOND with Ninja Film, based on her solo painting exhibition The Depth of Motherhood.
