Michaela Režová SYAA 2023
Michaela Režová is a Czech filmmaker, creative director, and director. The focus of her work is animated documentary and its various forms. She studied animation under the guidance of Jiří Barta in Pilsen. In 2013, she participated in the La Poudrière course on scriptwriting and concept development. In 2017, she graduated from the Academy of Art, Architecture and Design in Prague with her film Chase, which delves into the political process involving Czechoslovak hockey players from the 1950s.In recent years, she has worked as a creative director on various projects, including the 360° film projection for the exhibition History of the 20th Century at the Czech National Museum and six films for the exhibition Design & Transformation: Stories of Czech Design 1900-2020. Additionally, she serves as an editor and curator for the 70th anniversary project of the animation studio at UMPRUM. She is the founder of the platform f-a-t.cz, which aims to bring content from the world of animated film to animators, following the motto "From animators to animators." She also lectures on animation theory and history at UMPRUM.
