Open call for SYAA 2027
Empowering Women in Animation: SYAA 2027 Applications Are Open!
A project by Animest in collaboration with the AFN - the Animation Festival Network, the 7th edition of the Sisterhood of Young Animation Auteurs (SYAA) workshop invites creators to join us in Bucharest in 2027, between the 7th and 13th of March!
This intensive program is specifically designed for women artists from Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Bulgaria who are currently developing their first or second professional short animated film as main authors.

Program Logistics:
The entire program is conducted in English with no age limit, and while it is primarily designed for female identifying professionals working on their first or second film, students are also encouraged to apply. Additionally, accommodation and lunches are provided completely free of charge for all participants.
